Food Program Presentation

Announcements No Comments

As you may already know, we have been prayerfully considering the opportunity of beginning a Food Program here at GCGCNY to serve the needs of our surrounding communities.  On Sunday May 2nd at 2:00pm (Rm. W27), we have invited Michael Friedman of North York Harvest Food Bank to make a presentation at our church.  Mike will be sharing with us who NYHFB is, what they do, and how we can partner with them as a Member Agency.  There will be a time of Question & Answer to field any questions that we may have. Mike serves at NYHFB as the Agency Relations Manager.  Their web site is: http://www.northyorkharvest.com

Our prayer is that God will make our church an agent of His healing, mercy and goodness to our community.

You’re warmly invited to join us.  We hope to see you there.

English Ministry Name Change

Announcements 12 Comments

As part of our commitment and desire to be faithful in reaching people for Christ, we have an exciting opportunity to rename our English Ministry. Beginning immediately and during the month of April we will be accepting new name suggestions for our English congregation. Some helpful guidelines: the name is to be both representative of us as God’s people, as well as meaningful to the community and world in which God has placed us; think long term; the name should be easily communicated to people.

Once you have a church name to suggest, submit and share it right here online …and if possible, along with the reason WHY you think this name would be meaningful for us. Pray. Think outside the box. At the end of April, the English Ministry Committee will review your ideas and make a final decision.
