Tom More
Youth Pastoral Intern
Well it would depend on who you ask, but I like to think of myself like this: I am deeply in love with God, I am very committed to my friends, I have a passion for the church, my youth tell me I’m not very good at video games, and I am relatively organized despite my inability to use a day planner.

I primarily work with the youth here at Grace. I spend a lot of my time with our wonderful teenagers in Genesis, our high school fellowship, as well as in Footprints of Christ our Junior High ministry. I also have the opportunity to teach in one of our Sunday School classes, and enjoy every chance I get to participate in discipleship. I also preach occasionally on Sundays when the congregation needs a break from being convicted by the Holy Spirit through Pastor Victor.

I find that divine inspiration most often, and perhaps cruelly, comes to me while I am in bed in those minutes right before I fall asleep. I joyfully fight off my counting of sheep to get up and write it down and realize how much I have to count my blessings for God speaking into my life.

Well literally, I and my family come from Scotland; a heritage I am very proud of. I also come out of a family background that is largely unchurched and so I am eternally grateful that God was gracious enough to save and call me.

Before I was called into ministry I pursued a vocation as a contractor specializing in electrical work. I earned a degree from George Brown College as an Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician in 2008 and then went on to become a successful salesman after graduation. When I was called into ministry by God in a completely unexpected way at a surprising time in my life, everything else fell by the wayside as I was compelled to serve God. And now I serve Him here at Grace Church.
